Date Added: Sunday 26 June, 2005 by sara hartley the La Pavoni Lusso is shockingly light weight. the "chromed plastic" is simply plastic. after Saeco, Rancilio, and top-of-ther-line loaners-- it was disturbing to get a machine for longevity that seemed so chintzy.

but the crema was superb, the frothing exquisite--and the price was reasonable. a brass boiler makes it possible that this model can last and Pavoni parts seem easily accessible (unlike Rancilio).

only time will tell if this housing will last, but in the mean time--the espresso is the best i've pulled at home in 25 years--including a lever La Pavoni!

go figure.....
